Willow Sketchie Challenge

I've used Willow Designs download stampie and coloured in using ProMarkers for this card. The Promarker were also used to colour the matching matts as I usually use just plain white cardstock through-out.

This Weeks Challenge Cards

This weeks Polka Doodles challenge was called Whiteout. I really love the effect of just using white and one accent colour on a card and this theme really lends itself to a lovely snowy scene and snowmen, but after doing so many cards like this I wanted to try something different.

Materials used

White cardstock
Silver mirri board
2 different embossing folders
Marianne circle die
Spellbinders flower and leaf dies
1 inch and 3/4 inch circle punch
Star embossing tool
Peel off numbers in silver

I think this makes a lovely, elegant 25th wedding anniversary card and I'm going to try this for ruby and gold anniversaries also.

My next card is for the Willow Sketchie challenge.

And this is what I came up with.

Materials used

6 x6 inch white card blank
Silver mirri card for matting and layering
Nitwits Joyful Hearts paper collection
Dotty embossing folder
Spellbinders border die
2 circle punches
Just for you round stamp
Wild Rose Studio Winter Lady stamp
ProMarkers
Jewels, glitter glue and silver ribbon to embellish.

I hope you like these cards, I really enjoyed designing them even though this week I didn't have a lot of time, everything has gone mad here...... oh well never mind, here's to next week being a little bit calmer, although I doubt it.

Autumn Leaves

Materials

7x7" Card blank
White cardstock to die cut leaves flowers borders and labels
Papers from the new Polka Doodles magazine - Christmas Boutique
Spellbinders border, leaves, flowers and labels dies
Marianne bird on a branch die
Ancient Copper Cosmic Shimmer Mist
Spice Big and Juicy pad
White pen
Old saying found in my collection.

Even though the papers were from a Christmas collection the two that I used went so well with the colours in the Spice Big and Juicy pad and the Cosmic Shimmer lifts the leaves and the bird from the background as there are a lot of rust colours. Hopefully this has given the card that real rich and warm feeling you get in Autumn of sitting snuggled up next to a roaring log fire.... ahhhh....
